The Chief Ministers announcement during the Nandi Awards function, about the hike in the ticket prices has become a reality. Today, the government passed orders making the hike effective from today. After the official order, the new ticket prices are in vogue.
According to the order: the top level ticket price for AC theaters has been raised from Rs.40/- to Rs.50/- and for Non-Ac theaters the top level prices have been hiked from Rs.25/- to Rs.35/-. There is no change in the prices of lower level tickets, and they remain at the same price. By this way, mega budget movies can benefit with higher profits. And also small budget movies won’t have the issue as the low level tickets are still the same.
