UTV has signed a satellite syndication deal with COLORS (a 50/50 joint venture operation in India between Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B) and the Network18 Group), under which it has licensed rights for 27 films on a non-exclusive basis for India and overseas. The movies, which will be telecast on COLORS in the coming months include an unbeatable mix of commercial blockbusters and critically acclaimed films like ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, ‘Race’, ‘Life in a Metro’, ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’, ‘A Wednesday’ and ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’ .
